  • Welcome!

    My name is Tonya RIggs and I'm a natural light photographer. I don't believe in using harsh flash or studio light on my subjects, especially babies. During our time together, I mainly use natural lighting from my windows with almost all my home studio sessions or when I'm on a location such as your home. I also love to capture children in more natural surroundings such as parks and beaches or even their own backyards. My years as a first grade teacher and mother help me relate to children on a fun level. Expect our time to be carefree and fun. I strive to capture the fleeting childhood moments we all wish to secretly bottle up. I am blessed beyond words to be on this photography journey and delighted to be able to give my clients such treasured keepsakes.
    Thanks for stopping by!

{A Little 3 Month Dancer}

You may remember this sweet pea here from her newborn session just a few months ago.

Mama came with some very cute outfits and as I do all my baby sessions, we tend to style the session according to the outfits and my props. The tutu seems to be a favorite theme with all my baby girls this year. It’s all the rage ya know!

In the series below, it literally looks like she is dancing and I will have to say that she was the happiest during this set up. So so cute!!!!

Mama and Daddy may have a future dancer in the making!

Thanks for Bringing Miss E to play with me today T Family!

Enjoy your peek a boo!

{A Four Month Princess}

Once upon a time…

there was a princess.

She ruled her kingdom with her beauty.

The day of her royal four month session, she had other things on her mind than smiles.

But her mommy knew how to make her smile and put on her princess tutu!

What was really on her royal mind…

was catching up on her beauty sleep!

{Miss 4 Months of Yumminess and Company}

I met up with one of the yummiest 4 month old today and her charming older brother for some milestone pictures.

Mommy said she would smile for me all day and I totally believed her. When she wasn’t smiling, she was flashing me her pretty baby blues.

In fact, I was quite impressed with both kiddos considering they are more or less one year apart from each other.

They were equally adorable and just as good looking as both mama and daddy. I love when apples don’t fall far from their trees!!!

Lot’s more cute ones for their private gallery  but here’s a peek to some that caught my eye today.

Enjoy!

{Super Fun Mini Kiddo Beach Session}

About a month ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to donate a mini kid session for charity for an annual Aptos Chamber event.  I love giving back to our wonderful community. Lucky me to end up a great family with two great kiddos who happen to go to school with my boys. Mommy did a great job styling the shoot with some accessories that added charm and personality to our session. It was such an easy session to shoot as both kiddos were super cooperative and fun to work with. Here is a peek at our time together this weekend.

Enjoy C Family!

{T is for Teething and Totally Cute Mr. T }

T is  for teething and at 8 months, this lil guy wasn’t sure about taking pictures in my studio when he other things occupying his mind. Poor baby was just getting over a bad cold too though you wouldn’t know it by all  the toothy smiles and grins that we captured today. A little nursing and lot’s and lot’s of chomping time on my favorite crown prop and he was really good to go. Such a curious little fella and I just love how 8 months brings such wonder to new sounds and new sites.  Mama says, older sister dances so when we brought out the music, the last 2 images captured his inner dancer!

Totally CUTE!

Enjoy your sneak peek!
